Jesse Isaac Miller, Jr. was born May 6, 1939 in Upper Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Jesse Issac, Sr. & Robbie Lorine Ham Miller, His wife was
Alice Marie Porter. They married March 30, 2008.
Jesse served during the Vietnam War with the U S Air Force. His final rank was
MSgt. More about his service is in his obituary below.
Jesse passed away July 27, 2018 with his burial being in the National
Cemetery in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Jesse Issac Miller Jr. May 06, 1939 – July 27, 2018
Jesse Issac Miller, 79, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 in a Fort Smith hospital.
He was retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service from the U.S. Air Force as a flight engineer serving
during the Vietnam War; he also worked for 10 years at Greenwood Hardware and 10 years in maintenance and as a
custodian for the Greenwood and Lavaca Public Schools and 10 years at Greenwood Public School as a school bus driver.
Jesse was known for his love of bluegrass music and playing the banjo. He loved playing with Common Tread Bluegrass Gospel
Band at various nursing homes and churches. He was a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, July 30 at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery
in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Sunday from 2 – 7 p.m. at the funeral
home, where the family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
Survivors include his loving wife, Alice Marie (Porter) Miller; his mother, Robbie Lorene Miller of Fort Smith; one brother,
Ronnie Miller and wife, Myrtle of Van Buren; one sister, Larue Crowder of Nashville, Tennessee; three daughters, Teresa
Dunn and Melody Miller-White both of Rogers and Amanda Roberson of Portland, Oregon; three step-daughters, Melissa Brewer
and Michelle Jones both of Fort Smith and Rebecca Lankford of Rogers; eleven grandchildren, Miles and Josh Dunn of Van Buren,
McKennley (Mick) Isaac White, Tyler Dunn and Alexandria (Ali) Kyllingstad of Rogers, Jolie Engelen and husband, Bryson of
Portland, Oregon, Justin Brewer and wife, Nikki, A.J. Brewer and wife, Haylee of Greenwood and Mallery Brewer, Spencer
Jones and Maddie Jones all of Fort Smith; nine great grandchildren, Jade White, Ledger Kyllingstad, Ripley Engelen, Evan
and Ella Dunn, Cayden Owens, Lainey Brewer, Caroline Brewer, Ellie Kate Brewer and Everleigh Brewer; numerous nieces and
nephews; other survivors include his best friend, Dwayne (Boob) Carter and members of Common Thread Gospel Bluegrass Band.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Isaac Miller, Sr. and a brother, Gary Miller.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Home On The Range Life Group.
